Synopsis
Mawaru Penguindrum follows the Takakura brothers, Kanba and Shouma, who are dedicated to caring for their terminally ill sister, Himari.
When Himari unexpectedly dies but is then revived by a strange penguin hat, her miraculous recovery comes with a bizarre condition.
To keep Himari alive, the brothers must embark on a quest to find a mysterious object called the "Penguin Drum," as instructed by the entity now residing within her.
Their search leads them down a complicated path, forcing them to confront their own past and unravel a web of interconnected destinies with other individuals who are also seeking the elusive Penguin Drum.
The story explores themes of fate, family, and the lengths one will go to for the ones they love, all wrapped in a surreal and symbolic narrative.
