Synopsis
Death Note centers around Light Yagami, a brilliant but disillusioned high school student who discovers a mysterious notebook dropped by a shinigami (death god) named Ryuk.
This notebook, the Death Note, grants the user the power to kill anyone simply by writing their name in it.
Light, disgusted by the crime and corruption in the world, decides to use the Death Note to create a new world free of evil, becoming a vigilante known as "Kira."
However, his actions attract the attention of L, an enigmatic and equally brilliant detective who is determined to uncover Kira's identity and bring him to justice.
The series follows the intense cat-and-mouse game between Light and L, a battle of wits and intelligence where the stakes are incredibly high, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
