Synopsis In the near future, Earth is threatened by monstrous alien beings known as Zonders.
The only line of defense is the Gutsy Geoid Guard and their powerful robot, GaoGaiGar.
GaoGaiGar is piloted by Guy Shishio, a cyborg with a mysterious past linked to the first appearance of the Zonders.
He combines with a robotic lion named Galeon to become GaoGaiGar, fighting to protect the world from the Zonder menace.
Guy is supported by a team of transforming robots and a young boy named Mamoru, whose abilities seem to be crucial in defeating the Zonders.
