Synopsis

Watashi to Watashi: Futari no Lotte tells the story of two girls, Luise and Lotte, who unexpectedly discover they are long-lost identical twins at summer camp.

Raised separately after their parents' divorce, they possess contrasting personalities: Luise is outgoing, while Lotte is more reserved.

Struck by their shared identity and the desire to know the parent they've been missing, they concoct a daring plan.

The girls decide to swap places, each intending to experience life with the other's parent and gain a deeper understanding of their family's past.

Their adventure explores themes of family, identity, and the challenges of navigating unfamiliar situations, as they each step into the other's shoes.
