What is Toriko?#
Set in a world where extravagant and delicious ingredients are hidden in the most dangerous locations, Toriko follows the adventures of the Bishoku-ya, or Gourmet Food Providers. These specialists hunt for rare plants and animals to satisfy the world’s appetite.
The story centers on Toriko, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Bishoku-ya, known for his immense strength and appetite. Alongside him is Komatsu, a timid but skilled chef, as well as other powerful allies like Coco (a poisonous Bishoku-ya who can see the future) and Terry Cloth (the offspring of a cloned Battle Wolf). Together, they take on dangerous jobs while Toriko pursues his ultimate goal: finding the ingredients for his dream full-course meal.

Is the Anime Finished?#
When asking “Is Toriko finished?”, the answer depends on whether you are looking at the anime or the source material.
The anime series ran from April 2011 to March 2014. However, the original manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, continued until November 2016. Because the manga concluded several years after the anime ended, viewers who watch only the anime may find that it does not provide the complete conclusion found in the source material.
To get the full story and a satisfying ending, we highly recommend buying the Toriko manga to continue where the animation leaves off.
