Synopsis
In feudal Japan, the Awa clan teeters on the brink of destruction due to war and demonic intervention.
A bizarre event occurs: the clan's dog returns with the enemy warlord's head and demands to marry the lord's daughter.
This unholy union results in unborn pups who are subsequently killed.
These pups are reincarnated as eight warriors, known as the Hakkenden, each embodying a virtue of bushido.
The eight warriors embark on separate journeys filled with conflict, slowly converging as a powerful force.
Ultimately, they must unite to confront demonic forces and restore honor to their fallen clan.
