Synopsis
Mieruko-chan follows Miko Yotsuya, a seemingly ordinary high school girl who suddenly gains the ability to see terrifying spirits that are invisible to everyone else.
Instead of reacting in fear or trying to fight them, Miko makes the conscious decision to completely ignore these monstrous beings, hoping they will eventually leave her alone.
This proves difficult, as the spirits are often grotesque and disturbing, and their presence affects those around her, particularly her close friend Hana.
The anime focuses on Miko's daily struggles as she attempts to navigate her normal high school life while desperately trying to avoid acknowledging the spirits, protecting her friends from their influence, and suppressing her own terror.
