Synopsis
Mashiro no Oto follows Setsu Sawamura, a young man who has lost his passion for the shamisen after his grandfather's death. His grandfather, a renowned shamisen master, challenged him to find his own unique style.
Haunted by his grandfather's words, Setsu flees his hometown and seeks inspiration in the bustling city of Tokyo, but finds himself overwhelmed.
His wealthy mother, Umeko, intervenes and enrolls him in a high school where he reluctantly joins a newly formed shamisen club.
As Setsu teaches his classmates, he slowly begins to reconnect with the instrument and faces the challenge of finding his own distinct sound while grappling with the loss of his mentor and the expectations placed upon him.
