Synopsis Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! follows the story of Kazuma, a shut-in gamer who dies in a ridiculous accident and is offered a chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world.
He's given the option to bring one item with him to aid in his quest to defeat the Demon King. In a moment of spite, he chooses the goddess Aqua, thinking he's found a powerful ally.
However, Kazuma quickly learns that his new life is nothing like the RPGs he's used to. He and Aqua find themselves struggling just to survive, facing everyday problems and discovering that Aqua is far from helpful.
The anime then focuses on their often comedic misadventures as they try to make a living and deal with the many quirks of their new world, all while supposedly trying to defeat the Demon King.
