Synopsis
Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo tells the story of Wataru, a young man living in a dormitory with several girls and their teacher on a small island. His life is disrupted by the sudden arrival of Rinna, a new student and roommate who has a rather explosive introduction.
The island community faces upheaval as its major employer shuts down, forcing many families, including Wataru's housemates, to relocate within a year. This looming departure casts a shadow over their lives.
Rinna, wary of the pain of separation, initially keeps her distance from Wataru and the other girls. The anime then focuses on Wataru's efforts to break down Rinna's walls and convince her that even fleeting connections are worthwhile, all while navigating the impending changes to their lives on the island.
