Synopsis
Kaijuu 8-gou follows Kafka Hibino, a man in his thirties who once dreamed of fighting kaijuu alongside his childhood friend, Mina. Now, he cleans up after the battles, while Mina has become a celebrated officer in the Defense Force.
Kafka's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets a driven young recruit, Reno, who reignites his own aspirations. A dangerous encounter with a kaijuu leads Kafka to develop a unique ability: he can transform into a powerful kaijuu himself.
Dubbed "Kaijuu No. 8," Kafka decides to use his newfound powers to protect humanity, joining the Defense Force alongside Reno and striving to fight alongside Mina.
