Synopsis
Id:Invaded centers around a special police unit called Kura that utilizes a revolutionary technology called the Mizuhanome System.
This system allows detectives to enter the "id wells," virtual representations of a criminal's unconscious mind, constructed from remnants of their thoughts left at crime scenes.
Only individuals who have taken a life themselves can enter these id wells. One such person is Akihito Narihisago, known as Sakaido inside the wells, a former detective who became a killer due to a personal tragedy.
While imprisoned, Sakaido uses his sharp detective skills to help Kura solve murder cases by exploring the bizarre landscapes of the id wells.
However, as the investigations progress, Sakaido and Kura begin to suspect that these seemingly isolated cases are connected by something far more complex and dangerous lurking beneath the surface.
