Synopsis
In a far-flung future, after the world has been shattered by meteors, crystalline beings called Gems struggle to survive. They face constant attacks from mysterious beings known as Lunarians, who seek to harvest them for their beauty.
The story primarily follows Phosphophyllite, or Phos, a young and somewhat clumsy Gem. Deemed too weak for combat, Phos is tasked with creating an encyclopedia. Feeling inadequate, Phos encounters Cinnabar, a lonely Gem burdened by their own toxic nature and forced into isolation.
Driven by empathy, Phos vows to find a purpose for both themselves and Cinnabar, setting off on a journey to discover their strengths and protect their fragile community. The anime centers around Phos's growth and their quest to find their place in this dangerous world, alongside their fellow Gems.
