Synopsis
Ten years ago, mysterious phenomena called Heaven's Gate and Hell's Gate appeared, altering the world and giving rise to individuals known as Contractors, who possess special abilities at a cost.
The story focuses on Hei, a powerful Contractor codenamed "Black Reaper," who works for a shadowy organization called the Syndicate.
Hei and his associates undertake various missions around Hell's Gate, while a police officer named Misaki Kirihara investigates the strange events surrounding the Contractors and the Gate.
As Hei carries out his assignments, he uncovers a larger conspiracy that threatens not only the Contractors but possibly the world itself. The series explores themes of morality, sacrifice, and the struggle for survival in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred.
