Synopsis
Cross Ange tells the story of Princess Angelise, who lives in a world powered by magical energy called Mana. This Mana has brought peace and prosperity, but only those with the ability to use it are considered worthy citizens. Those without Mana, called Norma, are treated as outcasts.
Angelise believes in the superiority of those who can use Mana and actively supports the persecution of Norma. However, on her sixteenth birthday, a shocking secret is revealed: she herself is a Norma.
Stripped of her title and exiled, Angelise is sent to a military base called Arzenal, where Norma are forced to fight giant, dragon-like creatures known as DRAGONs using specialized mechs called Paramails. She must learn to survive and fight alongside the very people she once despised, all while uncovering the secrets surrounding the DRAGONs and the true nature of her world. The anime explores themes of discrimination, survival, and rebellion against a corrupt system.
