Synopsis

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! tells the story of Yuuta, a high school freshman desperate to escape his embarrassing middle school past, where he indulged in "chuunibyou" – a phase where he believed he possessed special powers.

Hoping for a normal high school experience, Yuuta tries to bury his past persona, the "Dark Flame Master."

However, his plans are disrupted by Rikka, a classmate who still actively embraces her own chuunibyou delusions and declares herself a magical being.

Rikka's presence throws Yuuta's carefully constructed normal life into chaos, forcing him to confront his past and navigate the challenges of high school life with someone who lives in a world of fantasy.

The anime explores themes of growing up, accepting the past, and finding connection, all while balancing reality and the vivid imaginations of its characters.
