Synopsis
In a near-future world ravaged by a parasitic virus called Gastrea, humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction, confined behind massive walls made of Varanium, the only substance that can harm the monsters.
To combat the Gastrea threat, specialized teams are formed: Promoters, experienced fighters, partner with Initiators, young girls born with enhanced abilities due to the virus. These "Cursed Children," while possessing superhuman powers, are also feared and ostracized.
The story follows Rentaro Satomi, a Promoter, and his Initiator partner, Enju Aihara, as they navigate a dangerous Tokyo, undertaking missions to defend against the Gastrea and unravel the mysteries behind the virus and the prejudice surrounding the Initiators.
