Synopsis
In a future where rising sea levels have drastically reshaped the world, a mysterious and powerful naval force called the Fleet of Fog appears, enforcing a strict blockade against humanity. These ships, equipped with sentient humanoid avatars known as Mental Models, seem unstoppable.
Seventeen years into the blockade, a young man named Gunzou Chihaya discovers a Fog submarine, I-401, and its Mental Model, Iona. Unusually, Iona chooses to align herself with humanity.
With Iona's help, Gunzou and his companions form a privateer group called Blue Steel. They embark on a perilous journey, hoping to find a way to break the blockade and restore peace between humanity and the Fleet of Fog.
