What is Acro Trip?#
Acro Trip is a shōjo comedy that takes a unique look at the magical girl genre. The story follows Chizuko Date, a shy middle school otaku living in Niigata Prefecture. While most of the city has grown indifferent to the frequent battles between the local magical girl, Berry Blossom, and the evil organization Fossa Magna, Chizuko is absolutely obsessed.
The twist? The leader of Fossa Magna, Chroma, is so inept and weak that the conflict has become a non-event for everyone else. Driven by a fervent desire to shine a light on Berry Blossom’s exploits, Chizuko embarks on a journey that leads her down a dark and strange path filled with eccentric characters.

Is the anime really finished?#
The Acro Trip anime premiered on October 2, 2024. Because it is a recent release, viewers should be aware of the status of the source material to determine if they will get a complete story.
The original manga serialization ran from February 2017 to December 2022 (concluding in January 2023). However, there was a “revival serialization” of the manga that continued until November 2024.
Whether the anime provides a fully satisfying conclusion on its own typically depends on how much of the source material is adapted. Given that the manga has reached its conclusion (including the revival chapters), the story has a definitive end. If the anime leaves you wanting more or ends on a cliffhanger, you can buy the manga to see how the journey of Chizuko and Berry Blossom truly concludes.
