Synopsis
86 tells the story of a war between the Republic of San Magnolia and the Giadian Empire. The Republic claims to have zero casualties, but this is a lie.
The Republic is divided into 85 sectors where the Alba live safely, while those who look different are forced to fight as the Eighty-Six in a secret eighty-sixth sector.
Vladilena Milizé, a Handler from the Republic, is assigned to the Spearhead squadron, a unit comprised of Eighty-Six soldiers. She is different from her peers and tries to fight against the discrimination faced by the Eighty-Six.
Shinei Nouzen, the captain of Spearhead squadron, is a survivor known for his skill and the high mortality rate of his squads. He carries the burden of his fallen comrades.
The story explores the conflict between the Republic and the Eighty-Six, focusing on Vladilena and Shinei, and the potential consequences of their meeting.
