Synopsis
Akiba's Trip The Animation follows the adventures of otaku siblings Tamotsu and Niwaka as their beloved Akihabara is invaded by "Bugged Ones," vampiric creatures who disguise themselves as cosplayers and possess people through bites.
Tamotsu's life takes a dramatic turn when he's saved from a Bugged One by Matome, a mysterious girl with a baseball bat.
After a fateful encounter, Tamotsu finds himself transformed into something similar to the creatures he's fighting.
Alongside Matome and the energetic cosplayer Arisa, they form a group and dedicate themselves to protecting Akihabara from the Bugged Ones using a very peculiar method of stripping them of their clothes to expose them to the sun.
